    Let me start by saying every aspect of the bank deserves a 5 star rating except one. I have been banking there for 17 years and have nothing but praise for the staff and the service provided. That said I would advise people to never do a currency exchange through the bank. The provider of currency that the bank uses charges 6.2% above what one could get elsewhere. My fault for not asking how much the exchange would cost prior to my order.

    I put my name into the new Avalon apartment lottery pool and I found the following staff associates to be quite personable and very accommodating. They answered my questions and made sure I understood everything. Dealing with affordable housing can be quite time consuming. Both Cassandra Colon and Raymond Boghos took the time to point me in the right direction. I worked with Ashley and Courtney Petillo made the bureaucracy of the matter so easy to deal with. After my experience with these folks, I definitely pray that I am chosen to live in this new development. Great job!!! and thanks for all your support (Mike S)

    Auto Loan Review: I had an auto loan on my car while living in the Boston area and I now live in Florida, so I decided I would see if I could finance my new car with them now. I called them to check that I could get an auto loan through DCU if I currently live in Florida and they said yes, so I went through with the application. I applied on a Wednesday and was planning on buying the car on Saturday. They told me my auto loan was approved on Friday but I had to apply for membership. Apparently that process takes a few days, so I wasn't able to get the loan in time to buy my car on Saturday, so then I had to apply for another loan with Ford Credit (which was approved same day). I was planning on refinancing that loan with DCU for the lower rate, but then I was told my membership wasn't approved and they could not tell me why. I spent several hours on the phone with DCU applying for the loan, working through the membership application process, providing additional information (social security card, etc.) and also spent a lot of time just waiting on hold to speak with a representative about my loan. All a waste, plus now, I have an extra credit inquiry on my credit score. They sent me a form to dispute the credit inquiry on October 23rd and I sent it back to them, but I have heard nothing since.
